Call of Duty: Black Ops

This game is probably my favorite Call of Duty. Mostly because it takes place durring Vietnam, and has one of the most thought out campaigns of any Call of Duty. Instead of the typical linear shooter game that Call of Duty usually is, this game is different. The campaign really makes you think and the cutscenes between levels and things are very well done. The game did turn off a lot of Call of Duty people because it didn't have and easy to understand-shoot everyone story.

A lot of people also said that the graphics were crappy and poorly done, but when you campare it to the other Call of Dutys, they aren't bad at all. And everything doesn't explode when you shoot it, so thats an improvment from Modern Warfare 2. Also the mutiplayer level designs are good and are balanced, unlike the Modern Warfare games, which I hate about them.

Another thing is tghe Zombies mode. I know several people who bought Black Ops just for the Zombies mode. I personally like both the multiplayer and Zombies modes, but the only problem is trying to find a game that has a good enough host, especially in Zombies. In multiplayer the host conections are usually good/ok, but sometimes you will randomly lag and it usually results with you getting shot and killed because you could not move and other things. Usually is something happens with the host connnection it will migrate hosts, to a new player. This ism't the case in Zombies though.

Zombies is fun to play, usually. Some times someone will quit because they died, which is really annoying. Most of the time the person that gets killed is the one that runs off on his own thinking he can hadle the zombies, and then gets downed becuase he can't, and then no one can revive him becuase there are to many zombies in the path of you to him. And since he ran off across the level, there ins't enough time to kill the zombies that are in your way and get all the way to him. Then he dies, and "rage-quits" because noone got him up. S0 then you are left with only 3 other people (usually you play with 4 people, sometimes 3, and rarely 2) and still have the number of zombies to count for 4 people, not 3. So in the end, he skrews you over in 2 ways :( and becuase the host doesn't migrate, so if the hosts connection is crap, you will lag a lot and if the host quits, the game will end.

I would give this game a 9.5/10 for the campaign, my only problem is that there is no co-op campaign, I would give Zombies an 8/10 because it is fun but finding a good match with good players and a good host is sometimes hard to do, and becuase of random lag that usually gets you downed. And I give the multiplayer an 8/10 becuase of the lag and because a lot of the BS that gets you killed, and it may sound silly to say this, but it will often make you frustrated because of how annoying it is.

I like this trailer becuase of the song...go Rolling Stones! and Vietnam!

Modern Warfare 2

I know most people played this game already, especially since Modern Warfare 3 already came out and most people bought that game. Everyone I know like Modern Warfare 2 and says it is one of the best games they have ever played. I have to disagree. I personally didn't like this game that much. The campaign was pretty fun I guess, but I could not stand the multiplayer for several reasons.

Everyone says the multiplayer in this game was "AMAZING" and realistic. The problem with the multiplayer is that everything explodes in some way or another. If you shoot something, it makes sparks everywhere, or it makes dust fly EVERYWHERE. And then you have the grenade spam, I mean, people throw grenades across the level and always kill someone. Not to mention the “Noobtubes” and how people spam those and how the “Scavenger” perk gives them more Noobtubes to spam.

The saddest part about this game is that the people who play it think it is reralistic. It most definitely isn’t. The only realistic part is the way the guns look, that ALL. Because of Call of Duty, people think that the Desert Eagle, a 50 cal. Hand gun, is used by the military, and it isn’t. It was made for competitive shooting to compete with larger rifles. The other sad thing is that the people that play this game is the next generation of military people.

The campaign was like an action movie more than a realistic military simulation. So any and everyone who says it is realistic is stupid, and probably from Texas. I would say this game gets a 7/10 because it wasn’t that cool, most of the people that like these kinds of games only like them to be like everyone else, or aren’t educated enough to realize it isnt realistic.

Here is a trailer that I made some time ago, personaly I think its pretty good :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJ-YL3jfA7A

this is all that is wrong with CoD Mod2

Modern Warfare 3

I just bought Modern Warfare 3 at 10 in the morning (That’s when the store opened). Since I'm not quite 17 yet... I asked someone tho buy the game for me, with my money. And he did, and it was cool. And I had to ride my bike 40 minutes the BestBuy in order to het the game... and 40 minutes back, so if I couldn't find someone who would buy it for me I would not have been happy. Also I have never done this for any game before, and I only went because my friend begger me to get it ASAP and that was the only convienient time to go.

'Anyway’ on to the game. So I thought the campaign was pretty awesome especially at the end. It felt like i was playing Modern Warfare 1 and 2 at the same time. I personally didn't like Modern Warfare 2 because they over did everything with cinematics . Modern Warfare 3 was over the top too, but I kinda stopped over analyzing it and pointing out all the physics and stuff that they didn’t have right (AND SOME OF THE STUFF BOTHERED ME SO MUCH!).

The multiplayer feels like you’re playing Modern Warfare 2 with different weapons and slightly different levels. But personally, it felt repetitive and sometimes boring. They added new “Kill Streaks” and you can set different “Kill Streaks” to different classes. As much as people didn’t like Call of Duty: Black Ops, I personally think that the “Perk” tiers are better and the get “Pro-Perks” makes you do several things, but in Modern Warfare 3, you don’t have to try and get the Pro-Perks, as you just kind of get them without trying.

Over All the game is fun, but it’s just another Call of Duty game, so if you can play one, you have mastered them all. Modern Warfare 3 does have new game modes and stuff, but it’s basically Modern Warfare 2, all over again. But I would have to give this game a 8/10 for multiplayer and a 9/10 for solo campaign, because the ending was pretty awesome and the story is pretty cool.

Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

This game is my personal favorite game of all time, not just for the Nintendo 64, but my favorite game that has ever been made for any system; past or present. This game is special to me because of how the game played out. It starts off with Link in a forest (Presumably the Lost Woods from Ocarina of Time, and is speculated that Link is looking for his fairy, Navi, who was with him throughout the events of Ocarina of Time or his other friend, Saria, who he grew up with.)

While link is looking for his "friend", he is a attacked by the Skull Kid wearing a purple heart -shaped mask. The Skull Kid then steals links horse and disappears into the Forest leaving link to die. Link then wakes up and starts following the trail of the Skull Kid, which then he finds a link to another dimension and is sucked in to it. He falls down a long cave and when he reaches the bottom, the Skull Kid is waiting for him.

The Skull Kid turns link into a Deku Scrub, laughs, and floats away. Link goes to chase him but is interrupted by one of the Skull Kid's friends, a fairy named Tatl, who repeatedly hits link on the head. While she does this, the Skull Kid leaves with his other friend Tael (Tatl's brother, and if you didn't realize, their names are Tatl Tael (Tattle tale) and Tael can't help but say things that have to do with the plot) Tatl then gets mad at link, blaming him for her loss of the Skull Kid and her brother.

Link then pursues the Skull Kid, only to find a dead Deku Scrub that is rotting away in the forest. Link then keeps following the Skull Kid and then enters a Clock Tower, and he meet a man from Ocarina of Time, the Happy Mask Salesmen, who then tells link the fate of Termina if he doesn't get back the mask back.

Sounds easy enough, right? WRONG...you only have 3 days before everyone dies =D...but you eventually get back the Ocarina of Time, which is when you remember the Song of Time, which when you play it, resets time. Since you only have three days to do things, which is only like 72 minutes, and resetting time will reset all the dungeons and you will loose all you items link bombs and arrows...and yes, your money too (There is a bank in the game where you can deposit your money so when you reset time, you don't loose all of your money, and you also don't loose key items, like your bow and hookshot)

The way the time resetting works is unique, as i have never seen time travel done quite like this before. And the game is unique in itself. The game seems like it is juvenile, but that only hides the darkness of the game. If you fail, everyone dies. If you take more than 3 days, everyone dies. If you don't kill Majora, EVERYONE DIES! The moon crashes into the Earth because of a curse that the Skull Kid put on it. The reason he is angry and full of hatred, is because his 4 friends left to protect the four corners of Termina.

So the whole reason the quest takes place is because one kid is depressed and the magic (spirit?) of Majora's Mask uses the Skull Kid as a puppet and his emotions are exaggerated by the mask. And all the masks in the game have magic in them. 5 of the mask change Link's physical appearance and 3 of them turn you into a different race, and each of the different race's have special and unique abilities.

This is one of the most underrated and worst selling Zelda game ever, BUT everyone that had beaten Majora's Mask and did all of the different things in the game love it. Its a cult classic, and is very popular among anyone who thought it was good. Everyone who has played this game either love and think it's the best Zelda game ever mad, or hate and think its the worst Zelda game ever made. My opinion is that it's the best, because of its uniqueness from other Zelda game, and its shear saddness and emotion that Ocarina of Time didn't have. In Majora's Mask, you really get to feel for the chatracters that are in the game.

depending on when you talk to them, they will say different things. Some people are scared out of their minds and are trying to flee Clock Town and others don't believe that the moon is going to fall.

I would give this game an 11/10 because it was that freaking amazing and unique, and it thought it was cooler than Ocarina of Time. The games story isn't as 'epic' as Ocarina of Time, but it's a lot darker and makes you feel bad for all the people that are going to die, INCLUDING YOU, if you fail the quest. Literally and entire world and all its inhabitants are going to be exterminated if you don't succeed, and you are only like 12 or 13, so that's pretty messed up. The game is actually be my favorite in game existence, well that, and Perfect Dark.

This game is one of those games that every Zelda fan should play. You either get that game for the Nintendo 64 or you can download it from the Wii's Virtual Console market for like 10 dollars or something. You can also purchase Ocarina of Time there as well. I recommend that you get the Nintendo 64, because personaly, the Game Cube's controller sucks. And it wont be the same experience when you use the Game Cube Controller as it would be with the Nintendo 64 controller.

And don't worry, the Water Temple doesn't require you to equip and unequip the Iron Boot ALL THE TIME like in Ocarina of Time. Also a 3DS version of Majora's Mask hasn't been announced, but it is more than likely because there are some references in Ocarina of time for 3DS that are in Majora's Mask, like the Mask Salesman's travel bag.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Now this game is a classic. This is one of those games that if you have not played, you didn't have a childhood. The game series; Legend of Zelda, has many titles for every Nintendo platform, each one different.

Nintendo just remade the game for the 3DS, with extremely good graphics. But it won't be the same experience as playing it on the Nintendo 64 and now that really annoying Water Temple wont be the same. In the 3DS version, you can put on and take off your Iron Boots without pausing which was one of the many reasons why the temple was so annoying. you would pause, equip the Iron Boots for 3 seconds, then pause and unquip them for a sec, them pause again and equip them again. And the games pause screen is slow to open and close because the game is so big.

This Zelda game is not personally my favorite Zelda game, BUT it is the most classic in my opinion. The game is very clever and unique. And BIG. You start the game as a child, and you have to beat three pretty large temples that reqiure you to use you brain to solve puzzles. You are probably thinking "WHAT DO YOU MEAN I HAVE TO USE MY BRAIN IN A VIDEO GAME?! I'M GOING BACK TO PLAYING CALL OF DUTY!" But thats to bad. Anyway, once you have beaten the three temples, you think "Well this game was short, I just beat three temples in like tho hours." But you are not done.

Then you have to go into the Temple of Time and pull out the Master Sword in order to kill Ganon. The Master Sword is almost self-aware, as it choses who can pull it out of the pedistal. And it picks you, because you have a pure heart. And then you have to beat 5 or 6 more temples and they are really long. I am not giving the plot to this game justice, in order to not give any spoiler, but its really complicated and interesting.

I give this game a 9.5/10 because it is amazing and I love it, and so should you. My next blog will be about my all time favorite game to play...EVER!

Army Men Sarge's Heroes 2 is the direct squeal to Army Men Sarge's Heroes. Only in this game, instead of saving your friends from torture, you get to run around and fight with them.
This game takes place more in the real world than it does in the Army Men world. in fact, I would say about 90% of the game takes place in the real world.

Once again, you play as Sarge, the main character of the game, and you go around killing Tan soldiers. Personally, I believe this game is better, but thats probably due to the fact that it's more nostalgic to me than the first game was.

This game is on multiple systems, but most people say the game is better on the N64, as on other consoles, they changed some the levels, and the graphics really are not that good and game play is the same. The only nice this that they added to the Playstation version, is that there are cut-scenes where people talk, instead of them making stupid poses with their always closed fists, even though this is not the case when they are laughinh, as its so bad, that its actually good.

I will say, they did a pretty good job with matching the voices of the characters to the way they look. For example, thick is the "slow" guy and the matched his voice to his character well, and with scorch, he looks like he is from Brooklyn, and his voice matches his look. But that's the only significant benefit of buying the PS version, but it doesn't out way the negatives of the PS version.

I would give this game a 9/10, mostly because I had a hell of a time playing it, and because it was like my childhood, in a videogame. I do recommend you buy this game if you have ever played with the Army Men toys as a child...or adult?
